Archaeological sites

The National Council proceed with its activities in the preservation of cultural heritage, including the movable effects and immovable (historical buildings) and permanently and continuously, and projects carried out during the past period are:

exploration site "Castle Zor" on Failaka Island
exploration site "Happy The Islamic "
excavation in the island of Failaka" in the area: Al-Subiya, where archaeological materials dating back 5,000 years were found.

It should also be noted here that the National Council approved the preservation of archaeological sites on the island in agreement with the Supreme Committee concerned with the development of the island. In addition to the interest of the National Council to implement an archaeological and historical map of the State of Kuwait. In the field of preserving the national heritage and under the sublime directions of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the efforts of the National Council have been successful in retrieving the album “Harbi”, which is a testament to the heritage of parents and ancestors in their struggle with the sea and livelihood and

in the same context, and in cooperation with the Republic Islamic Iranian, the National Council has recovered up to 399 cultural properties that were stolen during the occupation of the former Iraqi regime.
